Quaile Mausoleum

Ruble built mausoleum built c.1800.  Rectangular in plan with a convex roof having a rendered finish.  Exposed random rubble where render has failed.  Square-headed opening to the principal/west elevation with cast-iron single-leaf door.  Square-headed slate inscription plaque to west elevation.

The inscription reads 'This vault, the burying place of James and Jane Quaile of Downpatrick and their family, was erected, A.D.1800'.

Condition

Significant failure of render with open-joints to areas of exposed random rubble. Plantlife to roof (2003).
