History

The mausoleum was erected by the Honourable Edward Swinfen Parker Jervis of Little Aston Hall and his son Edward John Parker Jervis of Aston House, Aston by Stone. It was built by John Wood and consecrated on 9th April 1864.

Condition

English Heritage carried out a structural engineering report in 2001 following the collapse of a section of the boundary retaining wall.

The mausoleum is currently blanketed in maturing vegetation and tree-life which have led to the displacement of masonry at high level (2013).
