Listing entry from 1986: ‘Calciferous sandstone ashlar. Square with angle buttresses, moulded plinth and parapet stones with carved leaves and quatrefoils. Panelled cast iron door in pointed Gothic arch. Pointed-arched side window with scrolled grille. Opposite side has cross loop opening. Sloping slab roof, supported by corbels, is partly missing and some of the parapet stones have fallen. Raised panel over door has no inscription. A brass plate (which now appears to be missing) recorded the death of Margaret Parker, 1828, her husband Christopher Parker, 1838, and various children.’

Family vault for Parkers of Petteril Green.
The sloping slab roof appears to retain only one slab in situ and that is at the North end. Internal inspection not possible, since the door is obstructed by debris and vegetation. The cast iron door is detached from its upper hinge. Some fallen stones around the mausoleum clearly have carving and it is apparent that these are parapet stones. There are also some pyramidal stones and these correspond to the corner obelisks visible in historic photograph. Tim Ellis RIBA, 2025
