An octagonal building, erected in the years 1851 to 1853 by John Naylor of Leighton Hall, attached to the SE corner of the nave of Holy Trinity Church. It is approached through the door in the east wall of the Naylor family pew, or through the door leading from the outside of the church in the south wall. There are Gothic Revival windows and Pugin-pattern Minton tiles on the floor with an inscription around the perimeter which reads "Since by Man came death, by Man came also the resurrection of the Dead". In the centre of the floor is a large statue of an angel looking and pointing heavenward with the words "In Memoriam" inscribed on the octagonal base, executed by Georgina Naylor, fourth daughter of John Naylor, who died in 1950 at the age of ninety-six. The mausoleum contains 10 marble wall tablets with family memorial inscriptions. There is a vault under the chancel of the church, the entrance to which is under a slab by the South Door - The Naylor Door.

John Naylor acquired Leighton Hall as a wedding present from his uncle in 1846 on the occasion of his mariage to Georgiana Edwards of Ness Strange in Shropshire. He erected the church at his own expense as part of his extensive re-development of the whole of the Leighton Estate. 21 family members are commemorated in the mausoleum, a further 3 within the church and 9 in the churchyard. John and his wife, Georgiana and their daughter Dora lie in the vault under the chancel.
