The Kneown-Bouyd mausoleum is virtually identical to the Sall Mausoleum at Downpatrick CofI Graveyard - the two are likely to have been built by the same hand. The unpublished biographies of Ayneswerthy Pilson give a limited account of the life of Richard Keown whose father, Henry Keown, was a stonemason from the parish of Kilclief. It is plausable to suggest that Henry Keown built the mausoleum at Kilclief as his family vault - one might therefore also attribute the Sall mausoleum at Downpatrick to his hand.
