A small classical temple with pink granite columns at each corner, an oculus in the pediment and openwork iron door. This, the Bugden and Carter mausolea are all similar. The Ball mausoleum is an example of the type of ‘off-the-peg’ classical design that could be obtained in this locality.
Local mason, probably B & C Bower, Finchley

The inscription over the door reads: “The Private Mausoleum of D. A. and Anne Ball of Crescent Road Crouch End”. Inside there is a plaque erected by the grateful employees of Mr Ball inscribed with the words “The memory of the just is blessed”. The last interment in the mausoleum appears to have been made in 1938.
Fair. Door damaged and rusting and plants beginning to grow in cracks on the roof. Needs attention (2019).
